Connecting for Health Common Framework (From
the Markle Foundation Connecting for Health. The Common Framework is
a set of technical and policy resources designed to help HIT

information sharing in existing and emerging networks. It includes
sixteen technical and policy components developed by experts in
information technology, health privacy law, and policy, and tested
since mid-2005 by Connecting for Health across the country. Without
stifling innovation, the goal is to provide a basic framework that
can be adapted to local needs while assuring a high level of
confidence regarding privacy and security.)
